NCCF present at The ASC National Cocker Spaniel Show July 8 - 12, 2009

At this year's National Agility Trial, many participants will be wearing Pink in honor of our canines who are living with and are fighting cancer - and of course the many people we know who are doing the same.

Quinn, one of the ASC National show chairs, just lost a dear friend to cancer as well as her dog, Chrissy.  It was her idea to contact the Foundation for some shirts to wear and for educational materials to be handed out at their National competition.  She bought a Pink Paw bracelet and requested extra bracelets to pass out to all who have lost a dog to cancer.

"I'd like to give everyone who's dog has or had cancer a bracelet to wear while they are here in CA at the trial - and of course to keep.  This would include any of our beloved dogs we've lost.  They might be gone, but not forgotten."  said Quinn.

The club is also hosting a seminar about Cancer in the Cocker Spaniel to educate their members on this disease.  The seminar will take place on Friday, July 11th at 6pm and will be presented by Mona Rosenberg DVM (canine oncologist).
