2nd Annual Spiro's Pet Walk
Canine Cancer affects one out of every three dogs. Of those, over half of them will die of cancer. The National Canine Cancer Foundation helps to fund important research grants that are working towards improving those statistics. Through a major project funded by the National Institute of Health, the mapping of the genome sequence of the dog has been complete. Knowing the mapping of every gene in the dog, gives researchers an advantage not yet achieved in humans.
My event will be held at Gulfport's "Get Rescued", Saturday February 25th from 10am-6pm. The dog walk starts at 3pm. For each $5 entry, you will receive 6 raffle tickets for a chance to win generous donated items. I wil be selling "dog art" and NCCF merchandise during the day. Please stop by and say hi and meet our newest family member Murphy!
Please continue to support this foundation! With your help, we can help them find a cure for this disease that is stealing our furry family members.
Thank you for your support!

3rd Annual Kamp Kitty Paws for the Cause Fundraiser
Kamp Kitty's Paws for the Cause Canine Cancer Fund Raiser
February 11, 2012,
2284 Nestle Quarry Rd, Falling Waters, WV 25419
We are a small group of friends who believe in positive dog training and having fun with our dogs. Shortly after cancer took my dear 8-Ball in 2010, it was suggested that Kamp Kitty might want to hold a fund raiser for canine cancer and now we are hosting the third year!
The 2012 event will bring out dogs and handlers in need of something fun to do with their dogs, while helping raise funds for the NCCF. Handlers and dogs are invited to participate in APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and AKC (American Kennel Club) Rally Obedience run-thrus. The course will be challenging and experienced rally competitors are on hand to help beginners learn more about rally and successfully negotiate their way around a course. Those attending have the opportunity to purchase tickets for a raffle, bid on silent auction items and play the instant win game.
