7 year old Philanthrapist!

Jack's story as told by Emerald, Spiro's mother:
"Jack is 8 years old, and was kind of the test run to make sure we could keep something alive when I found out I was pregnant with Spiro Jack not only found a way into our hearts but literally has saved our lives.  He woke us up and saved us from a fire that ignited in our living room when Spiro was a baby. He also stayed with, and protected Spiro when he was 2 and decided to escape the house and take a very early morning stroll...  He means the world to us"

After the diagnosis, a usually very shy Spiro, Emerald's 7 year old son, a  decided to organize a fundraising event in support of Jack and so "that other dogs wouldn't have to be sick like Jack". Spiro's love and passion for Jack has helped him overcome his fear of speaking to people, as he started to work on his school project, which was a community service project by collecting gift card certificate donations from local businesses. These gift certificates will be raffled off at the organized Art Walk that Gulfport conducts twice a month. The organizers of this event have offered to give Spiro a booth to accept dog walk entries and sell raffle tickets!

Event Information:
Date: Saturday, February 19th, 2011
Location: Gulfport's Art Walk Festivity Night
Cost: $5 entry fees with automatic entry for the raffle

Raffle sales will continue thoughout the night with the raffle starting at 9:00pm.

Additional Information: Dog Walk sign up will start at 5:00. Sign up at Spiro's booth. Each entry will automatically be entered into the raffle. The walk will start at 6:00. Raffle tickets will continue to be sold at the booth during the walk.
