I remember that day
you were jusr a heartbeat away
your dad picked you up off the floor
two hours that turned into many more
and when he came home, you in his arms small and weak
there was little doubt his love you did seek
I remember the neighbor so anxious to see
you barked a warning don't touch he's for me
doggie doors, child proof locks, hinges and more
you solved them all and left them on the floor
I remember the meat loafs, whole chickens, beets and butter
you opened the refrigerator and made us mutter
we solved the riddle with bungee cords galore
but your legend there will be told in folklore
I remember the bed was off limits, but not for long
you won us over with your barking song
many pets we embraced and brought to the fore
you loved them all and asked for more
I remember the puppies came and caused some strife
as one by one they came to life
some caused a cry
and we helped with a tear in our eye
they were gone so fast
we had hoped it would last
I remember we almost lost you in that water deep
but God with a tug said this is for you to keep
then back to California a day away
and you sat tall leading the way
I remember your dad became ill and you stood by his side
you saved his life you were his guide
days turned into months we hoped for more
now your in gods hands and we see you soar
The heavens are brighter now that your there
and as you look down you know how much we care
someday we will meet in that great beyond
a flick of a moment with gods wand
and when we meet as friends loyal and true
it will be a dream, a dream come true for us and for you
To all our family and friends
The guiding light of our lives our daughter Sinda Marie Von
Sohl Pfeffer has
passed from our hands into Gods hands on this day of our lord Sunday
September 23rd 2001. Our lives will never be the same for she was our rock,
our strength and our salvation.
While we mourn and grieve and wonder why, we know that we are not alone and
from the bottom of our hearts we thank each and everyone of you for your
support and love in prayers and call and emails and candles and visits,.
They have been the foundation on which we have built our strength to go on
these last few days. You all give true meaning to the word friendship and
we
shall never forget each and every one of you as we ask God to take care of
our baby.
Please say a prayer for our daughter. We know she is in a better place
guarded there by all our loved ones who will show her the hand of God.
Thank
you and God bless you
